Sigma Chi
if not us, then who?
Forming legacy since 1855 our roots trace back to when seven men came together to build something greater than themselves. They believed in a brotherhood with purpose, guided by the core values of Friendship, Justice, and Learning creating the Sigma Chi Fraternity. The Iota Gamma chapter of Sigma Chi was founded at Jacksonville University in 1983.
At Iota Gamma, we carry that legacy forward by challenging each other to lead with integrity, grow through shared experiences, and make a real impact on campus, in our communities, and beyond. With over 300,000 brothers worldwide, we are part of something bigger, and it all starts right here at JU.

Home of The Derby
Derby Days, at the Sigma Chi Iota Gamma Chapter, is our mission to make a real impact and help put an end to the fight against cancer. As part of a nationwide Sigma Chi effort, we host a week of competitive events where brothers and all sororities across campus compete to raise the most money for the Huntsman Cancer Foundation, which supports research at the Huntsman Cancer Institute. We believe our generation has the power to help end cancer. Through Derby Days, we are proud to unite Greek life, rally our community, and stand behind a cause that saves lives and offers hope for a cancer-free future.
